Today In Sports History (October 30, 1974): The Rumble in the Jungle

On this day in Sports History, October 30th, (10/30/1974):
In what is considered “arguably one of the greatest sporting events in history,” Muhammad Ali and George Foreman did battle in Zaire ( now The Congo) at 4:00 a.m. local time. In front of 60,000 Ali fans, screaming  “Ali, boma ye!”(Ali, kill him!) the older and lighter underdog Ali, rope-a-doped his way to the stunning 8th Round knockout and upset of previously undefeated (40-0, 37 KO) and Heavyweight Champion of the World, Big George Foreman.
